f.flux can reduce the amount of blue light as much as possible.
f.lux can adjust the blue light cut rate with the seek bar.
Please try using it.
Condition
You use Mac or Windows
I will explain it in Mac PC.
Download f.lux
Go to the blew site.
Click the center “Download f.lux” button.
Once you have downloaded the zip file, let’s double-click it and extract it.
Since The executable file is expanded in the download folder, move it to the Application folder.
It’s over.
Use f.lux
Launch “Flux” app in the Application folder with double-click.
Preference window appears.
Set up wake up time
At first set up wake upt time. By default it is “8: 00 is when I wake up”.
This is a rough guideline for switching the intensity of flux’s blue light cut in the time zone, so it does not matter.
If you don’t have enough reason, it is ok 8:00.
Set the location
Next set the “Location”.
This function is also basically to switch the rate of blue light cut in time zones.
Try to type “tokyo” and push the “Search” button.
A map comes up. As it is OK, let’s press “Confirm Location”.
With this now available, it will change the rate of blue light cut per time.
The blue part of the figure below is adapted to the “Daytime” setting, the yellow part is “Sunset” and the red is “Bedtime”.
Recommended setting
For one of idea, I have been setting up like this.
Daytime is “4500k”
Sunset is “3500k”
Bedtime is “3200k”
When the setting is decided, push “Done” button, the setting is saved and the window close.
Conclusion
Programer’s deterioration of eyesight is still a problem.
If you can do a blue light cut it is better to do.
